Winding – Transformers have two windings, being the primary winding and the secondary winding. The primary winding is the coil that draws power from the source. The secondary winding is the coil that delivers the energy at the transformed or changed voltage to the load. The essential property of any transformer is the number of winding turns and hence, the turns ratio. By using the turn counter – it is possible to measure the number of turns with high accuracy in a cost-efficient way. Winding turn determination is a vital step in transformer production and repair.

In the Transformer Winding Turns Counting Display, a Automated PLC Based logic is used for counting the no. of turns and a display is used to display the count. A sensor, Phase Sequence Relay are also used.
When the winding machines completes one revolution the sensor senses the count of the winding and the Phase sequence Relay senses the forward or backward movement of the winding machine. The no. of turns are displayed on the Andon Display.
