The washing machine is widely used in the present day’s society for washing and drying of clothes. The working principle of a washing machine is centrifugation. Centrifugation is a separation process which uses the action of centrifugal force to promote accelerated settling of particles in a solid-liquid mixture. The washing machine consists of centrifuge for this purpose.

We have developed the Program for a Commercial Washing Machine which is used for Laundry Service in Hostels, Hospitals and Commercial Utilities. Here for Automation Part MITSUBISHI GOC 35 PLC cum HMI Module has been used.

In washing Machine, we developed a program which consists of FIVE MODES of Wash Cycles and Timmer

MODES OF CYCLES:

Heavy Wash: In this cycle the wash time will be around 45min, it consists of three sub cycles i.e., Wash, Rinse and Spin. In Wash cycle the clothes are washed with soap detergent, in Rinse again clothes are washed with comfort detergents and in Spin Cycle the Clothes are semi dried

Economy Wash: In this cycle the wash time will be around 30min and the operation will be same as above wash cycle

Normal Wash: In this cycle the wash time will be around 40min and the operation will be same as above cycles

Quick Wash: In this cycle the wash time will be around 15min and operation will be same as above cycles. But here the Rinse Cycle will be neglected and shifts to Spin cycle for quick wash

Delicate wash: In this cycle the wash time will be around 20min and operation will be same as above cycles

These all wash types their timing and operation was recorded and programmed the HMI to display and control of all these option.
